Abstract
Demo abstract. Community screening identified high-risk individuals and enrolled them in a nurse-led follow-up pathway with vitamin D and calcium supplementation.
Description
Screening alone was known to be insufficient, so the design prioritised the follow-up mechanism over the number of people screened.
A nurse coordinator maintained the follow-up register and made monthly phone contact.

The camp was treated as an entry point into a liaison service rather than a standalone event.
Surgical / procedural method
Heel quantitative ultrasound, structured risk questionnaire, nurse-led enrolment and monthly telephone follow-up for twelve months.
Research findings
- Follow-up retention was substantially higher than in prior camp-only efforts.
- Supplementation adherence improved with monthly contact in the demo dataset.
- Transport remained the main barrier to confirmatory testing.
