Abstract
Demo abstract. Nails were coated in theatre using a chest-drain mould technique, allowing single-stage debridement, stabilisation and local antibiotic delivery.
Description
The technique was chosen for its low cost and independence from commercial coated implants.
Union, infection control and the need for further procedures were tracked for two years.

In-theatre fabrication kept the approach viable where pre-coated implants are unavailable.
