Abstract

Demo abstract. Consecutive patients scheduled for percutaneous bunion correction had planning repeated after weight-bearing CT, and plan changes were recorded prospectively.

Description

Rotational deformity of the first metatarsal was the most common finding that altered the plan.

Post-operative imaging assessed maintenance of correction at six months.

Documenting plan changes prospectively, before surgery, made the imaging's contribution measurable rather than anecdotal.

Surgical / procedural method

Percutaneous distal metatarsal osteotomy with screw fixation, planning documented twice — once on radiographs, once after WBCT.
